This outdoor classroom was designed to support flexible, nature-based learning for up to 30 students and a teacher, within the compact grounds of Bondi Beach Public School. The space integrates practical teaching infrastructure with coastal-adapted planting and accessible design.

The layout accommodates seating zones and accommodates chickens, with circulation and planting designed for ease of use and low maintenance. Species were selected for resilience in coastal conditions and safety for children, drawing from the Eastern Banksia Scrub plant community. A composite deck wraps around existing mature Eucalyptus and Araucaria trees, retaining site character while reducing material maintenance over time.
