Rowlands Landscapes

In this mixed-use development, the landscape design focussed on paving and planting design across the interface between public and private usage. The landscape design was developed to align with strict public domain requirements, particularly in relation to tree selection, species placement, and underground service coordination.

We had the challenge of establishing native canopy species within service-constrained zones. Corymbia maculata (Spotted Gum) was selected for its urban habitat value, canopy spread, and mitigating the urban heat island effect. Detailed documentation and demonstration of adherence to development guidelines for construction certification (CC) approval was a critical component of the project.
